Mc Gill Scholarships

Initiated in honour of McGill’s bicentennial, the McCall MacBain Scholarships are Canada’s first comprehensive, leadership-driven scholarships for master’s and professional degree studies. The program draws on the Foundation’s work with top global scholarships – including the Rhodes Scholarships at the University of Oxford, the Mandela Rhodes Scholarships at South African universities, and the Kupe Scholarships at the University of Auckland – and McGill’s international reach and engagement with respect to institutional partnerships, student and faculty mobility, research and teaching collaborations ,curriculum innovation, and digital connections. Over 30% of our students are international, representing almost 150 different countries .McCall MacBain Scholars are selected for their character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity. These students will benefit from mentorship, coaching, a leadership development program, and full funding to pursue a master’s orprofessional program at our institution. By supporting a diverse cohort of exceptional students at this stage in their lives, we aim to build their capacities to lead with purpose and to make a positive impact inothers’ lives. Our first cohort of international McCall MacBain Scholars will begin their studies in September 2023. to ensure your students can benefit from this opportunity, we invite you to identify a senior representative to oversee the application endorsement process and outreach at your institution. In many universities, this role is usually filled by the Provost and Vice-Principal Academic To designate your representative, please reply by email to Franca Gucciardi, CEO of the McCall MacBain Scholarships at McGill, at franca@mccallmacbainscholars.org
