Alexandria University cooperation with Hong Kong Shue Yan University
HKSYU started the study abroad scheme in 2015. The goal of the scheme is to create opportunities for students to study abroad and to help internationalizing HKSYU by developing strategic partnership with other universities. I am taking great pleasure to introduce our university and explore the possibility to work with you and your prestigious institution.HKSYU is the first private university in Hong Kong. It was found as Shue Yan College in 1971 and attained its university status in 2006. All HKSYU’s qualifications are Hong Kong Qualifications Framework accredited and recognized. During the past four decades, the University built up a solid reputation in the educational community both in Hong Kong and internationally. Ranked at 301-350 in the QS Asia University Rankings 2021, HKSYU is now comprised of 12 academic departments under the Faculties of Arts, Commerce and Social Sciences. The University currently offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for 4000 students.Currently, HKSYU has 75 partner universities in 30 countries/regions. Our partner universities include Peking University (Mainland China), Fudan University (Mainland China), RMIT University (Australia), Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand), McGill University (Canada), University of Leicester (United Kingdom). The students will be guaranteed on-campus accommodations during their stay in Hong Kong at a reasonable price. In the academic year 2018/19 and 2019/20, we took in 43 exchange students including those from Austria, Finland, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Japan and Republic of Korea.In order to map our global footprint and answer our students’ diversified academic demand, HKSYU is looking to expand our network in Africa.
